Each one is named. Each one is anchored to a real story. Each one ends with a section called Putting the Practice to Work. As the book has it: a quiet library, not a curriculum.
Two lines, four quadrants: Thriving, Burning, Searching, Stuck. Burning — low energy, high achievement — is where a great many capable women quietly live.
Five rising levels, from permission to exist to permission to author your own life. Most women plateau between the second and the third for many years.
Recognised Work, the Performance Tax, the Hill, the Phantom Burden. Map a week in letters, then release, renegotiate, prune and protect.
Five patterns of careful conditioning — the Smoother, the Apologiser, the Volunteer, the Modifier, the Shielder — and the corner where high likability meets low respect.
Four kinds of comparison. Two are useful and worth keeping. One should be muted. One is a cage, and should be released.
Four career pulls: Craft, Cause, Currency, Community. Find your dominant and your secondary, and write the why-sentence you will carry for a year.
The Visibility Room, the Sponsor Room, the Negotiation Room, the Architect Room. The Sponsor Room is where your name is spoken when you are not there.
Five honest questions for any career decision, plotted against your current energy and trajectory. Four clean actions follow: stay, negotiate, rest, or leap.
Four columns, filled in with your partner in one sitting. Then redistribute by domain rather than by task — and whoever owns the domain owns the remembering too.
Six spokes: Body, Mind, Friendship, Aspiration, Play, Solitude. Score each from one to five, and always repair the lowest spoke first.
Three concentric rings, every relationship scored on cost and joy. Move the drainers outward — and hand your partner’s family back to your partner.
Five stages of building something that did not yet exist: the Hum, the Articulation, the First Sale, the Parallel Build, and Crossing the Line.
…and two more: The Three Phases of the Founder, and The Three Versions of Winning — which carries the lens the book calls its most important sentence. The venture is the vehicle, the life is the destination, you are the driver.

03 / About the author
Vaishali is an entrepreneur, author and mentor. Over more than twenty years of building she has founded and led three companies, grown a business that serves 400+ clients across 20+ countries, and held 25–30% year-on-year growth while doing it.
She has spent much of her working life as one of very few women in the room, and much of her personal life doing what women everywhere do — holding several lives together at once, largely unseen. Own Your Power came out of the space between the two: decades of mentoring, leadership work and quiet conversations with women in every season of life, distilled into practices designed to be used, taught, drawn on paper, and adapted.
She believes wisdom is not inherited but earned — through experience, reflection, and the courage to keep growing. She lives in Mumbai with her family.
